Riley's Story
From this picture, you can already see my arms, legs, brain, and spinal cord forming. You can also see that I am a little over 2 inches long from my head to my bottom. All
this at just 10 weeks old!
From this picture, also taken at 10 weeks, you can see that, not only do I have arms and legs, but I also have hands and feet. If you look closely enough, you might be able to see that my fingers and toes have started to appear too. If you were at the ultrasound with me, you would have seen my heart beating and me wriggling, shifting, and dancing around.
Although there are many things that you cannot see in these pictures of my development; the most critical parts are complete. It took 10 crucial weeks and now the following ones will give me time for rapid growth.
20 weeks!
After just another 10 weeks, I am half way to my birth date. From this picture, you can see that I have more than doubled my size and am now about 6.5 inches. Now the chambers and ventricles of my heart are visible and at the ultrasound you can seem them working.
By 20 weeks, my ear can be seen on the side of my head and my legs have grown in proportion to the rest of my body. I am also able to pucker my lips and suck as I am doing in this picture.
From this picture you are able to see my two feet and ten toes. If you look closely enough, you’ll be able to see that my second toe is longer than the first just like my mommy. And for a little over a week now, my mommy has been able to feel my feet as they kick her. At 20 weeks I have completed much of my development. Now I just need to grow bigger and stronger.
